Beneath the night sky I fight an ache
Nothing within, and nothing without
The past storm recedes, yet clouds persist
Silence soothes no empty souls
And dreams and drives become little woes
To a presence.
Whether it be she or someone similar
I know not, but her few words echo all night
Urging me to go onward, against my instinct, and my heart
I persist, in spite of both our wishes, to accost her
And she dances through my mind every second,
While she commands me to forget.
